| Bio: | Character Name/Aliases (if any): Joshua “Josh” Foley Age: 18 Codename: Elixir Affiliation: X-men Personality: Josh is unusually extroverted, and he practically exudes an aura of cheerfulness and fun. He enjoys being popular and hanging out with the cool kids. He'd much rather relax and kick back than get worried or nervous over anything. He has a tendency to rely on his natural gifts of smarts and athleticism instead of buckling down and working hard. When he was younger Josh often picked on the social outcasts and rejects at his school. Since he's matured Josh is no longer an outright bully, but he can still be a bit of a jerk now and then. Occasionally he gets introspective and moody, and he can be very melodramatic when he perceives something wrong with the world. History: As a young teenager, Josh was the golden kid: bright in class, skilled on the field, and popular among the other students, he had a talent for getting people to like him. In his first year of high school, however, Josh joined the anti-mutant Reavers at the behest of his best friend Duncan. Josh's power first emerged when the Reavers got into a fight with some mutants and he unconsciously healed one of his injured friends. He was able to hide what happened for a short time by knocking out the friend, but when he was later compelled to heal a mortally-injured mutant the Reavers had found, his abilities were exposed. Outed as a mutant, rejected by his friends, and essentially disowned by his parents, Josh reluctantly went to the Institute. A few weeks after arriving he wrote home to his parents, but this only prompted them to officially sign over guardianship to Dani Moonstar. Resigned to his situation, over time he worked through his initial bigotry, made better friends with his fellow mutants, and came into his identity as a mutant himself. Josh has since been taking high school classes at the Institute, with an emphasis in science and anatomy to help him better utilize his powers. Powers & Special Abilities: Elixir's true power is biological manipulation, but at this stage in his life he only knows how to heal minor to moderate injuries. He has not yet sparked his secondary mutation, which is golden skin that turns black when he uses his abilities to harm or kill. He must be close to an injured person in order to heal them, and it's easiest if he's touching them, but his powers will work through clothing. His hands give off a warm golden glow when he's using his abilities. Other: Josh is not a man of great subtlety.
